BJC HealthCare is seeking a manager for our supply chain contracts team! This individual will have a team of 10 direct reports which oversee contracts for various services (purchase services, pharmacy, OR, nursing, interventional and more). They serve as a liaison between the cotnracts team and legal. They will also be training new hires as well as conducting monthly trainings for contracts manager as needed.
Must be located in MO or IL.

Role Purpose
Lead, develop, and enable a high-performing contract management team that delivers timely, compliant, and strategically aligned contracts, ensuring the organization manages legal and commercial risk while supporting business objectives.
Responsibilities
Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
Independently and support Supply Chain Contract Managers in negotiating or renegotiating commercial and legal terms and conditions with attorneys and contract managers from third parties.
Manage Supply Chain Contract Managers in proactively addressing the Sourcing portfolio expiring contracts calendar and new contract requests overseeing the compliance of contracts within company policies and all contractual processes and actions.
Assign contract work based on complexity, bandwidth, and specialization, while balancing the workload across the team to manage priorities based on business needs.
Engage with leadership across internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent contract strategy that align with overall business goals, legal/compliance standards, and commercial strategy.
Serve as escalation point for complex or high risk contracts
