Home Health:
The Home Health Licensed Vocational Nurse provides direct patient care in a patient’s place of residence under the direction/supervision of a Registered Nurse. Provides nursing care within the scope of practice for licensed vocational nursing and accepts responsibility of individual nursing actions, competence, decisions and behavior in the course of vocational nursing practice. Demonstrates performance consistent with the PIH Health vision of Patients First.
Nursing Administration/Float Pool-Downey:
Provides direct patient care under the direction/supervision of a registered nurse. Practices within the legal boundaries for licensed vocational nursing and accepts responsibility of individual nursing actions, competence, decisions, and behavior in the course of vocational nursing practice.
Transitional Care Unit-Downey:
Provides direct patient care under the direction/supervision of a registered nurse. Practices within the legal boundaries for licensed vocational nursing and accepts responsibility of individual nursing actions, competence, decisions and behavior in the course of vocational nursing practice.
OPSC/PACU-Downey:
Provides direct patient care under the direction/supervision of a registered nurse. Practices within the legal boundaries for licensed vocational nursing and accepts responsibility of individual nursing actions, competence, decisions and behavior in the course of vocational nursing practice.
Nursing, GI Services-Whittier:
Provides direct patient care under the direction/supervision of a registered nurse. Practices within the legal boundaries for licensed vocational nursing and accepts responsibility of individual nursing actions, competence, decisions and behavior in the course of vocational nursing practice.
Hospice:
Under the guidance of the registered nurse, performs basic nursing procedures and skilled hospice care for patients certified as having a terminal illness who have elected the Hospice benefit. The LVN also provides supportive care to patients families and/or significant others.
Emergency Department:
Provides direct patient care under the direction/supervision of a registered nurse. Practices within the legal boundaries for licensed vocational nursing and accepts responsibility of individual nursing actions, competence, decisions and behavior in the course of vocational nursing practice.

Provides direct patient care under the direction/supervision of a registered nurse. Practices within the legal boundaries for licensed vocational nursing and accepts responsibility of individual nursing actions, competence, decisions and behavior in the course of vocational nursing practice.

Current California license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in good standing.
A minimum of one year nursing experience, preferably in an acute care facility with a medical-surgical background.
Current CPR card.
Current California driver's license and valid auto insurance.
Home Health experience preferred.
Nursing Administration/Float Pool-Downey:
Required:
Current California LVN license
Evidence of continuing education
Prior experience in an acute care facility in Medical/Surgical, as appropriate for clinical specialty.
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Card.
Intravenous Certification
