We provide quality patient care to all patients within the medical imaging department. As an ECHO Tech Registered you will perform high quality images and exams on patients while maintaining the sensitivity to patient needs while following standards of safe radiation practice. We ask that you always demonstrate leadership for other associate technologists, and act as a clinical resource to unit personnel and assures current standards of practice for the unit.
Qualifications:
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
HS GED or equivalent required
BLS through American Heart Association required
Currently registered as American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or via CCI as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
Physical Requirements-Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly

At St Thomas More Hospital, our Imaging department does diagnostic imaging with 3 X-ray rooms including one Fluoro room, Ultrasound, Mammography, CT, MR, and Nuclear Medicine. Our patient population includes patients of all ages, with many being of the retirement age. We serve outpatients, inpatients, OR, and ED patients including trauma patients that we will stabilize before transferring. Many of our techs are trained in multiple modalities offering continuous opportunities for growth inside and outside our department. Our small but mighty team thrives on teamwork and collaboration. Together, we go above and beyond to ensure top of the line patient safety and satisfaction.
