Community-based, University of Iowa Affiliated Family Medicine Residency seeking Assistant Director.
Great mix of full spectrum care; faculty rotate inpatient, outpatient, and obstetrics responsibilities.
Join a team of 5 Board Certified Family Physicians.
Doctorate level pharmacist and psychologist also on the teaching faculty.
18-resident ACGME accredited program.
Academic appointment at University of Iowa and Des Moines University available.
Medical student teaching opportunities.
Hospital employed & teaching in a single hospital.
Close relationship with on-site Internal Medicine Residency & Cardiology/Interventional Cardiology Fellowship programs
This role is involved in the administration, supervision, and patient care activities pursuant to the education of the family medicine residents.
Requirements include:
Minimum of an M.D. or D.O. degree from an approved medical school
Completion of an ACGME accredited family medicine residency
Board eligible or certified by the American Board of Family Medicine
1-3 years of experience is preferred, but not required.
Experience in graduate medical education is preferred, but not required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to effectively deal with a broad range of people and personalities.

RECRUITMENT PACKAGE
A competitive salary and benefits package are being offered for the right candidate including:
$100,000 sign-on bonus
Highly competitive compensation and full benefits package, including paid malpractice and tail coverage.
Generous salary and sign-on bonus
$5,000 CME allowance + 5 CME days off/year

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center is a 342-bed regional referral teaching hospital, named Top 100 Hospital nationally for achieving excellence in clinical outcomes, growth and fiscal management for several years.
