At Centura Health, we value incredible people with incredible skills - but your commitment to a greater cause is something we value even more. As a Surgical Tech at Centura you will:* Assist in smooth daily operations of the Labor & Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum unit. * Assist with vaginal deliveries under the direction of a Registered Nurse and provider and within scope of practice. * Function as a Scrub Tech for surgical procedures. * Maintain supplies and equipment on the unit. * Assist with maintenance of Point of Care Testing and High Level Disinfection equipment. * Perform clerical and business support tasks as assigned. * Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission and core values.Day to Day: * Primary Duties will be Scrubbing on C-Sections (emergent/ Scheduled), D&C's, Tubal ligations, emergency hysterectomies, and assisting w/vaginal deliveries. * Providing additional supplies and sterile instruments as needed.* Marinating Sterile field during procedures. * Functioning in a secretarial role when there isn't coverage. * Assisting with room turnover and restocking for next day's cases.* Answering call lights and doors, making charts, patient check in and rooming, scheduling patients for procedures, arriving/discharging patients in EPIC. OR Suites- 3 dedicated OB OR Suites 125-135 deliveries/ month. 30-40 C-Sections Schedule:24 hrs/week- Nights - Variable shifts per surgical Volume and current unit needs. No Call Required!What You Bring/Job Requirements:In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: * One-year patient care experience preferred* Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English* previous Experience with scrubbing C-Sections or Main OR required * Basic computer skills* High School graduate or GED* Completion of a Surgical Tech program* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association* Current Colorado Surgical Technologist Registration for associates working in Colorado* Certification in Surgical Technology from the National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Certification as a Tech in Surgery from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)Physical RequirementsMedium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)Your Connected Community:When people and places align, incredible things happen.
