Home Care Services at Cincinnati Children's is Greater Cincinnati's only full-service hospital-based home health agency devoted exclusively to children. We bring together, in one easy-access source, a complete range of specialized services for infants, children and adolescents. We care for children with long-term illnesses as well as those recovering from hospitalization or injury in the comforting environment of their own home.
Home Care supports family-centered care, working with primary care physicians and family members to ensure that their experience goes as smoothly as possible. Centralized, integrated scheduling of visits, tests, procedures and deliveries allows us to care for children efficiently and enables families to keep their focus where it belongs: on their child.
Home Care Services is dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate and respectful care to every patient and family. Home Care Services professionals offer individualized care and attention and help facilitate communications with physicians and other caregivers.
Access to comprehensive, expert care at home can often enable a medically stable child to leave the hospital early. The home care provided supports family-centered care and continuity of pediatric care for the child and the family. Such care can also lower the risk of complications and readmission.
Home Care Services from Cincinnati Children's are available to families in Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio seven days a week. (Services provided vary based upon specific state regulations.)
Our Registered Nurses perform assessments and work closely with Physicians to create a customized home care plan. Our team members consult regularly among themselves and with the child's Physician to ensure the best outcome.
We are currently recruiting for a Registered Nurse to work 32 hours per week, on rotating shifts: Days 8:30am-5:00pm and/or Evenings 12:30pm-9pm. Shifts can be 8, 10, or 12 hours long. We reimburse for mileage, and provide with all the necessary equipment to go into the home.
???Compliance - Patient Services Staff Sustain a working understanding of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards. Support leadership in Compliance efforts to meet and sustain the regulatory compliance efforts of the department and hospital. Be mindful and judicious in monitoring safety and departmental policies and procedures. Ensure all individual certifications and Safety College requirements are fulfilled in a timely basis. Work with department managers, nurse council and magnet representatives to identify and share safety best practices. Be mindful of CCHMCs processes and compliance with CMS standards and freely communicate safety and compliance concerns to leadership team members.
???Interprofessional Practice Demonstrates consistent integration of the Interprofessional Practice Model (IPM) in all aspects of practice.
???Patient Care - Age Specific and Culturally Diverse Consistently integrates age specific and culturally diverse concepts into patient care, taking into consideration both the patient's chronological age and developmental functioning.
???Clinical judgment when performing caring practices Collects clinical data; follow algorithms, decision trees, and protocols. Matches formal knowledge with clinical events to make appropriate decisions; uses available resources as needed. Documents plan of care, care delivered, and patient and family outcomes. ???Associate/Diploma prepared RNs from ACEN, CCNE or NLN CNEA accredited inst with 2 yr. exp. ???If hired as an external candidate without BSN or MSN, must enroll in a BSN or MSN program within 1 year of hire date and complete program within 5 years of hire date ??? Active Ohio RN License. May be required to obtain other state licensure. ???H-1B visa sponsorship is not available
