Equipoise Healthcare is a new multi-specialty pediatric practice, founded by a pediatric hematology and oncology physician, opening this summer in Wichita, Kansas.  We are looking for nurses in pediatric hematology and oncology to work with children in the outpatient clinic.  Duties will include managing patient flow, proactively managing appointments, medication refills, and other patient needs, teaching patients about their diseases, giving infusions, accessing the patient's port, assisting with procedures, and other duties as appropriate.  There will also be opportunities to work in pediatric palliative care.

This is a position where you can help start and influence a new clinic, including choosing the supplies we use, developing standards of excellence for nurses, influencing the workplace culture, and creating a robust program for supporting kids with cancer and blood disorders.  This is an opportunity for nurses who want to take on a leadership role, who have dreamed of the chance to have a say in the way medical care is delivered to kids with cancer and blood disorders.
