Supportive and Palliative Care is a specialty that cares for patients with chronic medical issues that affect quality of life. Our outpatient program consists of multiple locations across ChristianaCare including an office at Helen Graham Cancer Center, Wilmington Hospital and clinics embedded within other specialties. We are looking to add additional caregivers to our team that desire to work with patients and their families to support them through serious illnesses while engaging in a very strong team dynamic.
This position is responsible for delivering and maintaining quality patient care. Assist providers in the examination and treatment of patients. To operate as a team leader and mentor of staff in the practice to facilitate functions and duties.
Rooms patients to include taking and recording patient Vitals.
Check patients in and perform virtual intake for Virtual/Video visits when providers are working remotely.
Performs point of care testing, injections, medication administration and EKGs as per practice needs.
Assist clinician with check in/examinations/procedures

A graduate of a recognized Medical Office Assistant Program or Hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)
2 years' experience as a Medical Assistant is required; 3 years' experience is preferred
