Syracuse is built on an industry of salt, which eventually gave way to other means of economic growth Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Syracuse, New York is actively seeking a full-time Palliative Care physician. Candidates must be BC in Internal Medicine and BC/BE in Hospice & Palliative Medicine. The successful candidate will work closely with our inpatient and outpatient care teams with patients requiring advanced illness and palliative care consultations. Education and length of practice are considered through a formal pay-setting process to determine the final compensable salary (Base Pay + Market Pay) The Syracuse VA is affiliated with the medical school at the State University of New York (SUNY) Upstate Medical University (UMU). Teaching of medical students, residents and fellows is an integral part of the position. Applicants must possess a full and unrestricted license in any State and must qualify for an academic appointment at the SUNY UMU.
