OVERVIEW OF POSITION DUTIES:
Responsible for providing skilled nursing care to the terminally ill patients in the Hinkle Hospice House. Responsibilities include assessing the needs of the patient and providing and documenting patient care in a caring and compassionate manner. Provides emotional support, accepts the patient’s life style, provides active listening, and supports individual coping mechanisms. Exhibits expert end-of-life care and provides supervision to Hospice Aides (CNA). Commitment to excellence required.
Licensed as an Registered Nurse with the NC Board of Nursing
1-2 years of nursing experience preferably in a hospice setting
CHPN certification highly desirable
