SUMMARY: This position is accountable for daily operations and coordinating activities of the pharmacy staff to insure compliance with state, federal, regulatory and governing bodies in the preparation and provision of pharmaceuticals at the Valley Children's Home Care department. This role supervises all aspects of the medication management process including ordering, receiving, and proper preparation procedures. The incumbent further fulfills the role of Pharmacist in Charge and is accountable in maintaining all licensure and permits required for operations. Lastly, the supervisor is responsible for annual reviews of department staff and is an active participant in performance management and the hiring process.
REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a four year degree in Pharmacy, Doctor of Pharmacy preferred. California registered pharmacist license required. Three years' related experience is required, one year management experience. Five years of increasingly responsible experience which demonstrates proficiency in skills and knowledge required to perform the position preferred.
